Description:

Cline for Desktop (beta) is a standalone desktop application for the Cline autonomous coding agent: it plans and applies multi-file edits, runs commands, works on remote machines over SSH, schedules recurring agent runs and installs skills, MCP servers and plugins from a marketplace, using an API key from any of the supported providers. It is a Tauri app on top of the system WebKitGTK, with the agent itself running in a bundled Bun executable. This package installs the upstream prebuilt .deb unchanged. A from-source build of the cline monorepo is not offered (its bun workspace pulls about 3300 npm packages), see .autoupdate/not-packageable.md in the overlay. The terminal build of Cline is a separate package, dev-util/cline-bin, and installs alongside this one.
