sys-kernel/pf-sources-extended now carries only the LTS kernel
branches:
== What to do ==
An installed source tree stays in /usr/src/ until you unmerge it, but it can no longer be reinstalled and gets no further fixes. Move to one of the LTS slots above; 6.18 is the newest. These ebuilds carry KEYWORDS="" and must be accepted explicitly in /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords, for example:
6.1_p6-r3, 6.6_p6-r3, 6.12_p4-r3, 6.18_p6-r3
The ebuilds for 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, 6.10, 6.11, 6.13,
6.14, 6.15, 6.16, 6.17 and 6.19 have been removed; 7.0 was removed on
2026-05-15. These branches are end-of-life upstream, so linux-stable no
longer fixes them, and tracking linux-stable is the point of this
package.

Emerge it, build and boot the new kernel, then unmerge the old source
tree:
emerge --unmerge =sys-kernel/pf-sources-extended-X.Y_pZ
Outside this package, sys-kernel/pf-sources carries the full pf-kernel
patchset, and ::gentoo's sys-kernel/gentoo-sources tracks linux-stable
without the pf delta.
