Package Information

Description:
libopenshot is the C++ video editing engine behind OpenShot Video Editor. It composes a timeline of clips, transitions and effects on top of FFmpeg for decoding and encoding, JUCE (via libopenshot-audio) for audio, and Qt for image compositing and text rendering. SWIG bindings expose the whole API to Python and Ruby, which is how the OpenShot application drives it. Optional backends add ImageMagick image handling, babl-based advanced chroma keying, OpenCV motion tracking and object detection, and Wayland screen capture through xdg-desktop-portal and PipeWire.

Flag Description 1.0.0
babl Use <pkg>media-libs/babl</pkg> for the advanced chroma key colourspace conversions
doc Build the Doxygen API documentation for the library. Upstream enables this by default; here it is opt-in so that installing the library does not pull in app-text/doxygen and Graphviz. ⚠️
imagemagick Use <pkg>media-gfx/imagemagick</pkg> for image reading and writing
opencv Build the OpenCV effects: motion tracking, stabilization and object detection
python Build and install the Python bindings (pybind11) into site-packages ⚠️
ruby Build the SWIG Ruby bindings
test Build and run the upstream test suite (requires dbus-test-runner) ⚠️
wayland Build the screen capture module using xdg-desktop-portal and <pkg>media-video/pipewire</pkg>
